Hotel Policies

1. Safety & Personal Belongings

While we take reasonable measures to ensure the safety and security of our premises, guests are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

The Management shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to items left unattended in guest rooms or public areas.

2. Fire Safety Policy

For the safety of all guests and the property, the use of open flames and hazardous materials is strictly prohibited within the hotel premises.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Candles and incense
  • Torches or burners
  • Helium gas tanks
  • Any flame-producing or combustible devices

The hotel reserves the right to take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance. Management shall not be responsible for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use of such items.

3. Innkeepers Act 1952 (Malaysia)

In accordance with the Innkeepers Act 1952, the hotel’s liability for loss or damage to guests’ property is limited under Malaysian law.

Unless such loss or damage is caused by the wilful act, default, or negligence of the hotel or its employees:

  • The hotel is not liable for loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings.
  • Liability (if any) is subject to statutory limits as prescribed under the Act.

Guests are strongly advised to take necessary precautions with their valuables. Where available, the use of in-room safes or depositing valuables with the hotel’s management is recommended.

4. Personal Data Protection

In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, by staying at Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites, guests consent to the collection, use, and processing of their personal data where necessary.

Personal information may be used for purposes including:

  • Reservation management and confirmation
  • Guest communication and service arrangements
  • Billing, invoicing, and payment processing
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Internal training, marketing, and promotional activities (including publication on digital and print platforms)

All personal data will be handled with strict confidentiality and safeguarded using reasonable security measures. Information will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law or necessary for service delivery.

5. Photography & Videography

Any form of commercial photography or videography conducted within the hotel premises requires prior approval from Management and may be subject to applicable venue charges.

Unauthorized commercial shoots are not permitted.

6. House Rules

To ensure a comfortable environment for all guests, the following items are not permitted on hotel premises:

  • Strong-smelling fruits such as durian and mangosteen
  • Pets (unless otherwise permitted under specific arrangements)

The hotel reserves the right to take appropriate action to enforce these rules.
